I have suffered from emotional eating and binge eating since the age of 15.

Following crises at home and significant challenges, my soul found refuge in the comforting food that numbs and overwhelms the senses.

Needless to say, the issue of addiction is demanding, difficult, even violent, and solves nothing—it only "whispers" emotional pain and distress. In the long run, both the body and the soul fall into a dreadful slump and a dead end.

I came to the Healing Center after a period of compulsive overeating that also led to depression.

My stay at the Healing Center lasted about 4 months.

Although not continuously, and there were setbacks along the way, all my bodily and emotional systems were retrained and reconnected – a walk against the zone of comfort, against the gravity that pulls you down and tries to revert you to a state of empty carbohydrates leading to numbness and immense suffering.

Every day felt like climbing a mountain—both physiologically and emotionally. The combination of proper nutrition, movement, mindfulness, and the support of good people helped create change.

In moments of setbacks and the urge to give up, Eliran would speak with me and implore me to continue participating as much as possible. He never gave up and saw the latent potential, the light, and the vitality within me, despite all the protective layers I had built over the years.

Disclosure: I have not yet fully healed; addiction is like a parasite that resides in the body, waiting to break out. That parasite truly believes that in moments of distress it is the savior.

But I am much more cleansed (both physically and emotionally), I strive to keep moving, to meditate and walk in nature. I fill my home with fruits and vegetables. And when a setback occurs, I ensure it is brief and does not snowball. I am often reminded of magical moments from heartfelt exchanges with people who chose life, despite the challenges they faced, and I am filled with inspiration and faith.

This is all in addition to personal conversations with Eliran, who believes in you and loves you unconditionally, regardless of the degree of your illness or self-destruction, and of course, a supportive diet based on plenty of fruits, vegetables, healthy fats, and whole grains. One pattern of my eating disorder is "either eat everything or nothing."

Eliran insisted that the menu be rich and not limited so that deficiencies would not occur—deficiencies that only set the stage for the next binge. The point was clear: I needed a rich, full menu and not fasts that did not lead to long-term improvement. Every day is a new day of challenge and choice, in darkness or in light, in self-harm or in love and respect.

I thank God for the Healing Center, which operates with great humility,

with a simplicity of heart and a belief in the power of the human spirit, and especially in the ability to transform our innate creativity.

"At 33, I Decided That I No Longer Wanted, Nor Was I Ready, to Live in Illness and Suffering. A Second Before I Gave Up, I Embarked on the Journey of My Life in a Final Attempt to Restore My Health."

This is a sharing of a personal and significant experience I underwent, in the hope that my story will reach and help those most in need of healing. For years I suffered from chronic digestive problems and endured immense suffering, despair, and frustration. Conventional medicine failed to diagnose or help me. None of the alternative therapies I tried worked. Even though I ate very healthily and was sure I knew and did everything right, I couldn’t heal myself. My despair grew and I was on the brink...

A Second Before I Gave Up, I Embarked on the Journey of My Life in a final attempt to restore my health. I stayed at a special place called the "Healing and Retreat Center" of Eliran De-Mayo in the Upper Galilee and underwent an amazing process that changed my life in ways I could never have imagined!

I came with the goal of undertaking a fast, and along the way I discovered that in order to achieve true health, I had to also heal my soul, strengthen my body, and so much more. I devoted myself to the place and the process with determination and attentive listening. I disconnected from the external world, from all distractions, from the chaos, pressure, and pain that had been imposed upon me.

I overcame all the medications and addictive substances I was used to putting into my body. I ate healthy, delicious, and nourishing food, free from toxins and full of vitality.

I learned more about nutrition and health, and most importantly, I learned that health is so much more than just nutrition. I discovered the importance of movement, thought, and presence. I participated in various workshops that supported my body and listened to inspiring lectures that provided me with a wealth of tools to cope with my thoughts and emotions.

I witnessed breathtaking sunrises and sunsets, practiced grounding, and was exposed to the sun. I fasted for 28 days, then learned to eat again and nourish my body mindfully and in a balanced way. After years of emotional eating and being overweight, I returned to a normal weight (over 13 kg less). I experienced crises and difficulties as well as magical moments of joy and insight.

I received support through psychotherapy, body and breathing treatments that aided my process. I learned to trust my body again and to believe in myself. I learned to open up and share, to ask for and receive help and support, to be grateful for what I have, and not to give up on myself.

I met amazing and dear people who believed in me, strengthened me, and supported me along the way, and they became deeply embedded in my heart and soul! Thanks to them, I was given the chance and opportunity to change my life.

Five months later, I continue consistently and feel better than ever.

May we all experience true healing in our lives and heal the world.

The purpose for which I came to the Healing Center was to undergo withdrawal from alcohol and cigarette smoking.

I used to drink a great deal every day—around 14 beers and at least two packs of cigarettes.

I simply no longer had a life, and my health had deteriorated.

I reached a point where I would eat one very large meal a day, only to wake up about two hours later at night to vomit.

My blood tests revealed very poor liver values and other health damages that made me realize I was in serious trouble.

Thanks to a friend who recommended I check out the Healing Center, I chose it over another rehabilitation facility.

The withdrawal from alcohol and smoking was not easy, but thanks to all the physical activities, workshops, and support, it was manageable and passed relatively smoothly.

As a bonus to the withdrawal process, I also lost 32 kg, and I feel better than ever in my life.

I am in the best physical shape I have ever been, and not only did I overcome my addictions to alcohol and smoking, I emerged as a healthy person with entirely new motivation for life.

I can tie my shoelaces, sit on the floor and get up, and I have even replaced my entire wardrobe.

These were 3 months of a healing process during which I overcame my addictions, lost 32 kg, fasted for 28 days solely on water, and received all the knowledge and support I needed to continue on a healthy, independent path.

Allow me to say one more thing. It’s something I still remember—the first day I arrived here, on a Sunday, and I was very, very scared.

I sat aside, weak and vulnerable. The very first thought that came to my mind upon arriving was to run away before they could accept me.

I couldn’t imagine my life without beers and cigarettes—how could I live without them?

Over those 3 months, I transformed from one person into a completely new one; what I was before now feels like a different life altogether.

It is important to me that everyone knows it is possible to start a new life!

It wasn’t easy, but with the conditions and support I received, it is possible—and if I succeeded, everyone can!

This is How I Healed from Severe Chronic Digestive Disorders and Knee Pain – David Goren Shares His Healing Story

I came to Tuval for three weeks with modest expectations and emerged as a different person.

I arrived at a magical place perched atop a mountain, overlooking Haifa to the south and Rosh Hanikra to the north, embracing all the surrounding villages.

Combined with the amazing blooming that began to emerge and the vibrant green that delighted the eyes, these elements already did their part.

I lost at least about 11 kg—although that was not my primary goal, it was a bonus. I came because of long-standing issues with my digestive system and due to pain in my right knee (which, five years ago, was slated for knee replacement) and pain in my hip joint. In between, we also enjoyed social gatherings and shared meals. The place is enchanting, and the staff is excellent—accommodating, welcoming, and loving. Eliran stands out above all with his charming smile and penetrating, understanding, empathetic, and supportive gaze. All of these helped me reconnect with my body, gain a deeper understanding of its needs, and significantly relieve the pain in my knees and hips.

My digestive system has been functioning marvelously for some time now, and I continue the process at home with Eliran’s guidance. I feel that there is complete improvement and healing in a stomach that had been troubled for decades. I am grateful to Eliran and the entire team who work with such dedication and excellence.

Greetings to the Healing Center of Eliran De-Mayo,

I came to you in January for three weeks while suffering from frequent diarrhea—at least five bowel movements per day—with a constant urgency to be near a restroom and an incessant pressure to go urgently at any moment, all while my stomach was bloated with unpleasant gurgles. In short, an extremely uncomfortable condition that severely affected my quality of life. This was, in fact, the main reason I came to Tuval.

In addition to the digestive disturbances, I suffered from pain in my right knee and in the hip joint of my right leg. About five years ago, an orthopedic doctor at Ichilov advised me to undergo knee replacement surgery. I decided to address the problem on my own. When I arrived at Tuval, my primary goal was to treat my digestive system.

Regarding nutrition, Eliran and I decided to start with a cooked diet tailored to my condition, then continue with a juice diet as a preparation for a water diet (complete fast), and gradually return to eating. The aim was to give my digestive system the optimal conditions for improvement and healing. That is exactly what happened. I lost about 11 kg (from 80 kg to 69 kg) relatively easily, and remarkably, my stomach now functions like clockwork—one to two bowel movements at most per day, with solid stools.

What surprised me most was that the weight loss, combined with vigorous physical activity, led to a significant improvement in the condition of my right knee and a reduction in hip joint pain—this was an amazing bonus to the primary goal for which I came to Tuval.

The entire process of healing and the renewal of my digestive system was accompanied by all the wonderful activities at the center—from a sunrise walk at 05:30 in the morning, an intensive 45-minute exercise session, and yoga classes lasting from an hour to an hour and a half, which included health and nutrition lectures, African dances, improvisational dance, sunset walks, immersions in spring water, circular breathing, and so on.

In between these activities, we also enjoyed personalized, delicious, nourishing, and healthy meals, each according to our individual needs. I cannot help but speak highly of the hospitality, acceptance, and professionalism of the team—it was beyond expectations.

All of this fostered the creation of strong bonds and great openness among all the program participants.

We became a support group—everyone for everyone. I am now nearly four months after Tuval, and the impact of the place has not faded. My digestive system is functioning well, my knee and hip are hardly an issue, I eat properly, I exercise extensively according to what I learned, and my mood is uplifted. I feel that the Healing Center is like my second home.

A Story of Empowerment and Inspiration through a 17-Day Medically Supervised Water Fast [August 2019]

My name is A.K. and I am a 55-year-old woman from the center. I came to the Healing Center when I felt significant physical and mental weakness along with high stress. The reasons for my visit were a uterine polyp, impaired hearing (necessitating hearing aids), and osteopenia.

I stayed at the Healing Center for 5 weeks. At first, I was very afraid, but I quickly acclimated to the abundant goodness at the center and the endless generosity that encouraged me to open up and fully commit to the process. The fast was a profound and empowering physical and mental experience that yielded positive results for me. The walks at sunrise and sunset presented a wondrous world before my eyes, illuminating many places in my heart, and I long to continue this habit. I participated in the enjoyable and challenging weekly excursions in nature, which revealed to me things I had forgotten existed, and I was delighted to experience renewed pleasure from them.

Along with the powerful guidance of Eliran, my passion for closeness to nature and its beauty was awakened. The Healing Center is located in an open setting with amazing air that provided serenity and calm, offering an opportunity to embrace natural healing and to connect with myself. Each of the workshop facilitators and therapists gave of themselves beyond the sessions themselves, creating a genuine sense of giving from a place of goodness.

I heard and witnessed success stories among the guests, and that encouraged me greatly. The yoga and qi gong classes opened up a world that had previously been hidden from my eyes and were presented in the best possible manner, both in group sessions and individually, addressing issues that troubled me beyond the classes themselves. Eliran’s lectures were excellent and extremely enriching.

On the emotional side, I was assisted by the center’s psychotherapist, an amazing therapist. I was deeply nourished by our conversations and reached insights regarding where I came from and where I am going, as well as in establishing my life priorities. At the Healing Center, I learned the habits of a proper lifestyle and how to maintain the health of the body in order to fulfill the purpose and vision of the soul.

I certainly feel that my faith in the healing and balancing capabilities inherent in the body and soul has grown. The Healing Center is an amazing and wondrous place with an extraordinarily noble vision. I support it and am delighted to know that Eliran and every member of the team are engaged in sacred work for the purpose of spreading light to every person.

After I returned home from the Healing Center, tests showed that the uterine polyp I had, originally 2.5 cm in size, had shrunk to 0.5 cm—thereby preventing me, even 5 years after the fast, from undergoing surgery and facing unnecessary risks and complications!

For 8 years I have suffered from an inflammatory bowel disease – colitis.

Eight years of continuous suffering, recurrent attacks, a stomach that never knew rest, frequent and bloody diarrhea, constant trips to the bathroom, medications, injections, hospitalizations, and hospitals – these are just some of the words.

A weakness that worsened over time led to weight loss and emotional feelings of anxiety and fear.

For years I searched for answers, had countless questions running through my mind, visited many specialists for digestive issues, nutrition advisors, tried various diets—one menu after another with warnings like "you must not eat this and must avoid that, and if you eat this, then this will happen..."

Everything became a jumbled mess in my mind; I was at a loss, helpless, and exhausted by life.

In the past year, I suffered another severe attack, and this time I chose to confront it naturally, believing that the body has the capacity to heal itself.

Based on a consultation with a specialist and additional methods recommended to me for healing the disease, I underwent 5 juice fasts. Although the bleeding stopped and during the first fasts I felt vitality and energy, eventually my body began to collapse—I became extremely weak, my weight dropped drastically to a low of 32 kg (my height is 1.65 m), accompanied by severe emotional and physical distress.

Additionally, I was advised to follow a raw food diet on the premise that the intestine can only heal from a raw, fiber-rich diet, so between fasts I mainly ate raw food; the bleeding returned and the inflammation persisted.

I arrived at the Healing Center on 07/04/19 with many fears and worries—I was utterly desperate and weak, yet everything around me was pleasing: green and blooming, peaceful; I felt a kind of tranquility despite the storm raging in my stomach.

When I first met Eliran, I felt his warmth and calm; I told him about my condition, he listened with empathy and attention, and that sparked a glimmer of hope for the future.

My stay at the Healing Center lasted 3 months, a magical place that gave me a true opportunity to connect with myself from a deeply internal place I believed existed within me—I write while being overwhelmed with emotions and memories.

Thank you for all the challenges and those unique moments of breathtaking sunrises, sunsets, nature, disconnection, trips to picturesque and beautiful places, for all the smallest, simplest, most fundamental moments which are, in truth, the greatest—looking at a flower, smelling it, and falling in love; gazing at the sun and feeling its light and warmth; listening to the melody of birds every new morning; breathing fresh air that offers endless space.

I felt how the sensations of tension and stress gradually faded, making way for feelings of release, freedom, and joy.

Thanks to the process I underwent under the close, supportive, and professional guidance of Eliran, and through following a proper, precisely tailored menu for my condition, my digestion gradually improved; suddenly, the constant stomach pain above my navel disappeared, the diarrhea stopped, and I finally began to enjoy food without fear of its aftermath. My weight began to increase in a balanced manner—I gained 10 kg.

I felt as if a miracle had occurred; my self-belief strengthened, I began to see the beauty within me, to accept and love myself.

I must also mention all the wonderful classes and physical activities that greatly contributed to my healing process, which enabled me to express so much of myself emotionally. In every experience, I found an opportunity for a deeper acquaintance with myself, and I began to face life with less fear.

“I underwent a true transformation after 2 types of cancer, surgeries, severe disability, movement limitations, and severe overweight. Nothing I write can describe the power of the healing I experienced. I was reborn, and this is no mere slogan!”

I wonder where to begin sharing the unique, connecting, embracing, empowering, and transformative process I experienced with myself, with Eliran, with the team, and with the place.

Nothing I write can capture the magnitude of the transformation I am experiencing in my life; I was truly reborn, and this is no mere slogan!

A. Since my birth, for many years I have struggled with a disability in my right hip joint and a 4 cm discrepancy between my right and left legs; during my childhood, I underwent many surgeries.

About two years ago, I underwent another surgery, and I continued to suffer from severe pain in my hip and lower back, which greatly hindered my walking and overall movement; every attempt to restore my walking ability failed.

B. Having been a slim and fit woman from childhood until the age of 45, I began to gain weight as a result of a severe trauma I experienced.

I tried many weight loss programs and various body cleanses, and, like an accordion, I lost and gained weight, accompanied by immense frustration and disappointment.

I exercised according to the limitations of my legs and the restrictions of my skeleton due to my disability, yet the pain persisted, as did my movement limitations.

My mood deteriorated, and I only gained weight, struggling to move. I suffered from pain, stabbing sensations, despair, and deep depression.

C. Three and a half years ago, uterine cancer was discovered; I underwent surgery and harsh chemotherapy, and later, breast cancer was also detected. I then underwent another surgery and radiation therapy.

D. I reached a point where even the upper part of my body ached. My fingers became stuck (trigger finger). I turned to food for comfort to escape the distress, which only further worsened my condition.

I realized that my body was screaming "Help!!!" I had reached my limit, and if I did not want to fade away and be finished, I had to create a comprehensive systemic rehabilitation.

I sought a place that would allow me to experience freedom, a break from the routine, serenity, fresh air, quiet, personalized meals, activities tailored to my physical condition, comprehensive personal attention, and professional support that addresses the physical and emotional challenges I face.

I did not want a place that simply offered a vacation or just a juice workshop, detox, and the like... but something truly systemic!

I began searching for various places. I talked, inquired, and eliminated those that seemed too commercial, not personally focused, and did not offer a comprehensive, holistic process. Eventually, I came across the Healing Center established and managed by Eliran de Mayo.

I reviewed and listened to Eliran's lectures on YouTube, researched him, and traveled for a tour to see the place. At the end of the tour, I met Eliran in person. His preparation and professional integrity during our conversation convinced me. Combined with the energy of the place, its simplicity, the lush vegetation, and the clean air, I decided that this was where I belonged. Initially, I thought one week would suffice.

During my conversation with Eliran, I realized that expecting my body to heal in one week was not realistic at all. And he was right!!! I chose to stay for 3 weeks, and in the first week, I realized that I wanted to stay another 3 weeks—and how fortunate that I did, because the results in my life today confirm that it was the right decision for me.

Eliran emphasized that I had to lose weight since the excess fat I carried significantly increases the likelihood of cancer recurrence. Two cancers were enough for me. That's it! I decided to commit fully to everything that Eliran would guide me through.

It was clear to me that I had to muster all my inner strength to truly create a transformation in my life; I had determination and faith that my body and soul could heal. In total, I spent 6 weeks at the Healing Center, which led me to live anew and experience genuine sunrises within me, both in spirit and in body. In this paradise, I experienced:

1) Eliran, a paragon of wisdom, knowledge, interpersonal skills, patience, and tolerance.

2) Professionals among the finest I have ever encountered—caring, attentive, and empowering.

3) Nature, walks, and an abundance of physical activities that had been out of reach for years… (even walking from the car to the house was difficult for me).

4) Emotional and experiential activities of all kinds, including personalized strength training.

Every time I requested advice from a professional during group activities, I received personal guidance and explanations.

5) Delicious, organic, vegan food, tailored specifically for me (subject to a daily report that I was asked to send to Eliran).

I shed approximately 15 kg of fat in 6 weeks, with pleasure and without any hunger.

The severe pain in my body completely disappeared, my stuck fingers were released, and the suffering subsided.

I reached a point where I could walk up to 20 meters,

Now I walk over 10 km with ease and enjoyment, without pain (only those who have experienced lower back pain can understand how thrilling it is to walk pain-free).

Since returning home about 7 weeks ago, I have shed an additional 7 kg of fat thanks to self-work and persistence with my diet and physical activity,

as I learned here. In total, I lost 22 kg of fat—and then some.

Every morning, I rise for a sunrise walk by the sea, exercise, and my special meditation practice. I invest in myself every day,

from the very first day I arrived at Eliran until today, and the results speak for themselves! I would definitely be delighted to share and help others with my experience.

I am happy, calm, breathing, alive, and incredibly grateful for the opportunity to reclaim myself—and oh, it's unbelievable. This is reality. After improvements in every facet of my life—primarily due to the absence of the pain that once defined me and seemed so daunting—the world appears more beautiful than ever, and all these changes occurred in just a little over 3 months. It's unbelievable, yet I am sharing my story.

I am filled with gratitude and appreciation for Eliran; it is so different and empowering to live and experience life in this way. The transformations in my life are immeasurably greater than the price paid for this dream-fulfilling village. I would love for more people to experience such a transformation in their lives, because we all deserve to live life this way. Amen! I knew I would have to work hard and sought a framework that could support me in the processes of recovery and cleansing.

I happened to hear about the Healing Center and got the impression that its specialty was nutrition. I looked into it thoroughly and discovered that this framework could offer exactly what I was seeking. I embarked on three weeks of disconnection and detoxification. From the very first moment, I felt that I had arrived at a magical place. The attention of the staff, their radiant demeanor, and the endless attentive listening fostered an atmosphere of endless possibility. To my great surprise, I left my cigarettes behind and simply stopped engaging with them. Instead of focusing on "withdrawal," I found myself learning and experiencing many new things—yoga, Qi Gong, circular breathing, and more.

Simple, organized meals, walks in nature, and all-day activity enabled me to lose weight, and within three days, I felt filled with new energy. The three weeks passed quickly, and now I am once again at home, learning to adapt everything I learned at the Healing Center to my daily life—eating mindfully, consuming natural, seasonal, and authentic food, incorporating various types of physical activity into my routine, and persisting in everything that benefits me. I know I am at the beginning of the journey, and I am so glad that I found an anchor in the Healing Center that will allow me to return for help if needed.

I almost forgot that I haven't touched a cigarette in two months, and I don't think about it at all.

Forty years of addiction were overcome thanks to this unique and wonderful place.

Healing from Chronic Fatigue, Infections, and Extreme Thinness at the Healing Center

A must-visit place for anyone who wants to be healthy but doesn’t know where to start!

About a month ago, I arrived at the Healing Center after years of eating disorders, digestive problems, Candida infections, Helicobacter pylori, constant heartburn, stomach pain, and every possible digestive issue you can imagine.

My weight was near extreme thinness, I suffered from anemia, constant fatigue, irritability, unstable moods, hair loss, skin allergies, itching, phlegm, allergic rhinitis, and recurring bladder infections, which led to the use of

antibiotics that nearly destroyed my gut flora. As a result, I suffered from many secondary infections and severe symptoms.

I spent enormous amounts of money and suffered for many years from failed attempts to improve my health.

Until I arrived at the Healing Center and found exactly what I needed to see improvement and gain tools for the future.

I received healthy, joyful, and energizing food, moved more in one day than I had in weeks, and participated in workshops that increased my physical, mental, and nutritional awareness.

The happiness I experienced watching every sunrise and sunset was indescribable—I didn’t miss a single one!

By the third day of my stay, I could feel my body beginning to heal.

I woke up every morning at 5:00 AM (before my alarm), alert and full of energy. What a joy it is to finally not be tired. A significant part of the symptoms I arrived with disappeared as if they never existed.

I first arrived at the Healing Center in early April 2019 for a stay of approximately three weeks.

This was following a recommendation from my doctor, the son of Dr. Pnina Bar Sela, as part of my recovery after surgery to remove a cancerous tumor from my lymph nodes.

During these three weeks, I followed a rich and diverse plant-based diet, alongside emotional healing and various physical activities—including exercise, yoga, and walks—averaging six hours a day.

The results were remarkable—severe pain in my back, neck, thighs, and other parts of my body completely disappeared.

I lost 9 kg, and my cholesterol levels improved.

I felt as if I had arrived with a sick body, which had now become healthy, whole, and strong once again.

I returned home full of hope and determination, knowing exactly how to maintain balance in my body and mind.

I remained committed to my diet and physical activity and lost an additional 10 kg.

I knew for certain that I would return, this time with the goal of undergoing a water fast as a natural preventive treatment against cancer recurrence.

If you think fasting is extreme, ask yourself whether chemotherapy and radiation are any less extreme.

I returned to the Healing Center in mid-July 2019, in an ideal physical and mental state to begin my journey—14 days of water fasting.

Surprisingly, it was much easier than I had expected. Even during the fast, I participated in most of the activities, my sleep was good, and I fell asleep easily.

The last few days were more challenging, and upon Eliran's recommendation, I drank various herbal infusions, which helped me complete the process feeling good and successful.

Eliran’s guidance throughout the fast was incredible. I felt I could fully trust him and place my health in his hands.

He had knowledgeable answers to every question I asked, along with flexibility in the process and attentiveness to my needs.

The entire staff was incredibly caring, and the other guests at the center were supportive and interested in my journey. We became like a close-knit family.

I am leaving this place feeling the immense strength and infinite capability of my body.

I lost 30 kg in 4 months.

My physical fitness and connection to myself have improved beyond recognition.

If I compare my experience at the Healing Center to building a house—during my first stay, I laid the foundations, and in my second stay, I poured the concrete and built the entire structure.

Now that the house is ready and stable, all that remains is to continue tending to the garden.

Six or eight months ago, I began to understand various things about the body's ability to heal itself. I searched for the most precise place and the most precise person to help me go through this process together. I went through various things with myself regarding this matter until I heard about Eliran De-Mayo and the Healing Center.

This was also the time when I decided to stop taking a biological drug that I had been injecting myself with for 10 years. At the age of 18, I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease, which manifests as arthritis. The reason I came here is that all the pain returned—just like when I was 18, ten years ago, when I first started the injections.

As if nothing had happened over those ten years, I numbed myself, and the pain was even more severe. I arrived here initially with the disease, but over time, I discovered that I came for many other reasons as well.

I arrived highly inflamed and in pain in every possible joint. The night before, I was practically bedridden, with a bucket beside my bed and a walking stick. I relied on my partner for even the most basic actions—which was the most terrible experience I had ever gone through. That’s how I arrived here. That was my first day.

Five weeks may seem like a long time on one hand, but on the other, it’s nothing—compared to how long I was sick and what I’m experiencing here. I can’t believe this happened in just five weeks. Wow!

Throughout the process, I keep discovering so many things, even though I thought I already knew everything about nutrition because I had read and listened to so much. I realized how much I didn’t know, how many things were inaccurate, and how vast the gap is between books and reality. And I learned. I am learning a lot.

Right now, I’m dealing with pain that is only at 30% of what I had when I arrived—a remarkable improvement that I couldn’t have believed or expected. I have no doubt that I’m on the right path! My blood tests show improvements in inflammation markers and other values.

The emotional journey I am going through is the most significant part. The time for myself and my healing is crucial for so many processes I had suppressed and never given attention to.

The personal care I receive here is at such a level that it sometimes embarrasses me. But in a good way—as if I never expected it to be this personal.

It is very important for me to share with as many people as possible about their ability to heal naturally, through their own strength and with the incredible support of this Healing Center. I only wish I had known about this place much earlier, and I want everyone who needs it to hear about it at a much earlier stage—when they truly need it.

Uri Volstein, a 68-year-old battling a rare neurological disease (MSA) and founder of Sh.A.L North, recounts his stay at the Healing Center from August 23 to October 11, 2020.

I arrived at the Healing Center in a severe condition due to a rare disease that was diagnosed three years ago.

The doctors unequivocally determined that there was no chance of recovery or of significantly improving my quality of life.

I reached a point where I could no longer walk on my own or move without a wheelchair. I was at the brink of despair, experiencing depression, anxiety, and thoughts about the end of my life.

I heard about Eliran De-Mayo’s Healing Center from a woman who had stayed there. She urged me to call, and although I initially strongly resisted, after two "remote help" calls with Eliran, I was convinced and came for a week.

The decision required extensive planning, preparation, and many logistical efforts—transporting a stretcher chair, a wheelchair, and other mobility aids. The efforts paid off. Already in the first week, I learned to stand on my own and even took a few independent steps.

In the end, I stayed for seven weeks—from August 23 until October 11—instead of the one week I had barely agreed to. I decided to remain at the Healing Center and Retreat to continue improving. Every week, I made progress, step by step.

I left the Healing Center walking independently on two legs, covering distances I never imagined I could reach. I now climb stairs on my own, without a wheelchair and without assistance. I dance! I do aerobic training every morning. My entire physical condition has improved from end to end. I do so much, and the quality of my life has completely changed.

The group support strengthened me mentally, as did the fresh air and tranquility. The nature excursions with Eliran boosted my mood from the very beginning; I internalized the Healing Center’s message: "Movement, movement, movement" deep within. I committed to the program, benefited, and learned from every workshop and lecture—from sunrise until after sunset.

Today, I feel vital—I am alive! My mental state has also transformed completely. I have hope and a desire to live!

If I had not come to the Healing Center and Retreat at that very moment—and had I not stayed there for the past two months—I’m not sure I would be here. And if I had, my condition would have been very poor, especially during the Corona period and lockdown, when the Healing Center continued to operate at peak intensity to heal and maintain my health and that of others.

I am grateful to all the staff, facilitators, and therapists, from each of whom I received abundant love and support. I am excited to return home to a new life and path, and I am confident that I will return to the Healing Center again in the future.

Hello, Healing Center,

I came to you to undergo withdrawal from cigarettes and to confront depression and anxiety.

I had the desire to disconnect from my immediate surroundings and to connect with who I truly am.

For 8 days I was in a state of flight, with external noise silenced, which helped me fully commit to the process.
